HAMILTON midfielder Simon Mensing is loving life in the SPL but admits he feared his top-flight dream would pass him by.
Mensing came close to achieving automatic promotion to the big time with Clyde and St Johnstone before becoming a victim of timing and rough justice back in 2007.
Then Motherwell boss Maurice Malpas signed him from St Johnstone but was sacked before the season had even started.

Gannon brings his young side to New Douglas Park today having confounded expectations they would struggle this term.
With just one Clydesdale Bank Premier League defeat and an unbeaten record away from home, Motherwell lie fourth in the table with more than a quarter of the season gone.
Reid said: "Some of the results they've had have been incredible, for me. I've seen them once or twice and they've done okay, but they seem to have the ability to win matches and pick up points, and it's all credit to wh

MOTHERWELL defender Mark Reynolds believes his side can seal a derby-day win tomorrow to help them in their aim of emulating the Fir Park feats of two seasons ago.
Reynolds was part of the Motherwell side that finished third in the league under Mark McGhee in 2007/8 and he believes that the same spirit and confidence is on show now under manager Jim Gannon.

MOTHERWELL manager Jim Gannon believes resting his youngsters this season could be the key to sustaining their push for a top-six slot.
Twenty-year-old Ross Forbes was omitted from the side that lost 3-0 to St Mirren in last week's Co-operative Insurance Cup tie.
But he was recalled at the weekend and scored in the 1-0 SPL victory over Hearts.

Motherwell manager Jim Gannon and striker Lukas Jutkiewicz have been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Manager and Young Player of the Month for October, respectively.
The fourth-placed Steelmen were unbeaten in the SPL last month, taking eight points in total and holding leaders Celtic to a goalless draw at Parkhead.

MAKE no mistake; this was the biggest result of the season so far for Motherwell.
After conceding six goals in two games in the space of four days to St Mirren, a season which had started so brightly for the Fir Parkers looked to be unravelling.
The visit of a confident Hearts side, who finished third in the SPL last season and shocked Celtic in the Co-operative Insurance Cup quarter-finals last week, would not have been every Motherwell fan's preferred choice of opponent to play to get their season b
